Greetings from the Pulmonary Vascular Disease NetWork at CHEST! Dr. Jean Elwing, NetWork Chair, and Dr. Vijay Balasubramanian, NetWork Vice-Chair, would like to provide updates on recent projects and planned education that have us very excited.

Updates in Pulmonary Vascular Disease NetWork education/awareness:

Several of our NetWork members have joined together to increase awareness in our CHEST community about COVID-related venous thromboembolic disease (VTE). In a recent webinar, Update on Anticoagulation in COVID-19, moderated by Dr. Jean Elwing, panelists Sandeep Sahay, MD; Dana Kay, DO; Parth Rali, MD; and Vijay Balasubramanian, MD, review the newest data on anticoagulation in patients with COVID-19 and provide insights on how clinicians can best care for patients.

Additionally, Drs. Dana Kay, Sandeep Sahay, and Jean Elwing published Pulmonary Vasculopathy and Thrombosis in Patients With COVID-19, where they discuss the pulmonary vascular changes and incidence of thrombosis observed in patients with COVID-19.
