Airway Disorders NetWork News
Note from the NetWork Chair
I'm excited that you are a part of the Airways Disorders NetWork, and I encourage you to join others. Yes, I know in the face of the pandemic, pulmonary and critical care doctors are busier than ever; but this is your opportunity to shape the educational and policy decisions that affect our specialty. Since I’ve been a part of CHEST, this is the most exciting time to be a NetWork member. With the dynamic changes in recommendations and treatment approaches to COVID-19, we have been given the chance to really weigh-in in a substantive way. In the past 3 months, the Airways Disorders NetWork has written a COPD blog article, contributed an article to the Chest Physician® publication, is preparing a review of the new NHLBI Asthma Guidelines for the Chest Physician publication, and is writing an editorial article on COVID-19 in patients with asthma. The pace of projects and the diverse ways to be a part of this NetWork is unmatched. I look forward to having you join us (or any of the other great NetWorks)!
