Home-Based Mechanical Ventilation and Neuromuscular Disease

NetWork News

Note from the NetWork Chair

Welcome to 2021! We made it through this past year with unprecedented events on many levels locally and nationally.  We are looking forward to a much brighter year as we continue to strive to make a difference in the care of our patients. Our NetWork has several exciting projects on the horizon, including CHEST 2021 symposium preparations, nominations for the Margaret Pfrommer Honor Lecture at CHEST 2021, and engagements with the CHEST COVID‑19 Task Force. A highlight will be our contributions to the CHEST COVID‑19 Task Force’s COVID in Focus: Perspectives on the Literature, in which expert faculty will be discussing key articles related to home mechanical ventilation practices during the COVID‑19 pandemic.

CHEST Annual Meeting 2021 is going to be held in Orlando, Florida, October 17-20, both in person and online, providing attendees with the option of experiencing the meeting in a way that best suits them. We will provide more details, including NetWork symposium highlights, programs, and postgraduate courses, in our next NetWork news communication.

The NetWork Steering Committee would love to see your participation and feedback as a member to help us understand your needs and interests to better serve you.

CHEST has so much to offer—get involved today!
